My goal as a photographer is to captivate the viewer as I was captivated by a scene, object or person. Ideally, emotion is evoked by what I choose to put inside the frame.

Light, composition, angle and prevailing conditions are the parameters within which I work. Photography is a time intensive art. It is not a work for which I can set aside a specific time as opportunity may arise at any moment.

Happily, photography occupies all of my time, as it has changed the way I see and experience my environment. It is a wonderful obsession and as I share my vision, response will vary from person to person. If I have captured your attention, I have attained my goal.

Most recently I won first place in the WINTER category in the 2007 Catskill Mountain Guide yearly contest. The photograph, SUGAR FROSTED, appeared on the cover of the November Mountain Guide Magazine.

My photograph, SAXTON FLATS, was chosen to appear in the BARRETT ART CENTER’S PHOTOWORK ‘07. It is their 20th Annual National Juried Photography Exhibition. Asher Miller, Ph.D. of the METROPOLITAN MUSEUM OF ART, NY. is the juror of the entries.

In May 2007 my photographs will appear in the landscape show at the CATSKILL MOUNTAIN FOUNDATION IN HUNTER, NY

Won 2nd prize in Farm category of Catskill Mountain Guide Photography contest. Prize Photo appears for the month of November in "A Year in the Catskill Mountains", Catskill Mountain Foundation 2006 Calendar.

In September of 2007, my photographs will appear in a group photography show in Saugerties, NY at the CATSKILLS GALLERY.

I was a winner of the Judges Choice award at the TWILIGHT PARK SHOW 2006 for my photograph entitled SERENGETI IN SAUGERTIES.
